IHG Week 9 Updates

13 Feb Table Tennis: In today's final pool, our table tennis team suffered a defeat at the hands of Hall 6. For both the male and female singles, Go TiongSen and Melody Tai lost 0-3 in both their matches. For the male doubles, Kiev & Glen Abraham Liang put up a good fight but eventually lost 1-3.

Tifen & ZiLin Choo managed to secure the only win of the night with 3-0, but unfortunately their victory was overshadowed by our defeat at mixed doubles, where Jon Ong and Adelene Tan lost 0-3.
Overall, our hall lost 1-4.

Despite the defeat, we can see the effort and time our tennis players took to train for this match and we wish them only the best of luck in making a comeback next year.

16 Feb Track: Our Hall 2 track team did us proud today by powering ahead with super speed to an impressive 3rd place finish.

The first 4x100m team of Glen Abraham LiangKenryu WangChia Wang Peng and Abdul Adib were head and shoulders ahead of the competition with a 2nd place finish.

Next up, their female counterparts Steph YeoAlisa ChuaMainisah Buang and Angela Yap showed they too had the speed and grit to make it to second.

In the 4x400m male competition, Wang Peng, Bryan HanEugeneTang and Jun Hao emerged a respectable 4th placing. Next, our female runners once again brought home the second placing in the 4x400 race. We ended off the 4x800m mixed race with Angela Ng, Edmund, Melody and Alvin Lee coming in 10th.

Overall, the team's need for speed and sheer stamina brought us to a 3rd place finish. Congrats to the team and we're proud of being home to this team of swift sprinters!

16 Feb Rugby: Hall 2 ended this festive week on a happy note as our rugby boys brought home two victories, allowing us to advance to quarter-finals. After a walkover match against Hall 15, our restless rugby guys were looking for an opportunity to showcase our hard work against Hall 14 on the pitch.

Two minutes into the game, an unforeseen tackle to Jonathan Eggy Wong caused him an early exit.

Our forever handsome Chia Wang Peng scored on his first try and Arnold Wee executed a perfect kick to score on penalty in the first half.
With our forwards giving trouble to Hall 14's defence, our back Limsanity ZhiHao Lim took advantage of the chaos and scored in the second half.

The seamless cooperation between the forwards and the backs allowed us to win the group stage against Hall 14 with a final scoreline of 13-0.
Score: 13-0

Well done rugby team!
